What items can stainless steel film be used on?

Which size should I buy for my dishwasher, oven, or refrigerator?
In general, a microwave can be covered with the 17 3/4" wide roll of film, and a dishwasher with the 26 1/2" wide film. If your refrigerator is freezer top, fridge bottom style the 35 1/2" wide is usually the film used. If your refrigerator is a side-by-side you will usually need 2 of the 26 1/2" wide rolls. However,
you NEED to measure the appliance first to make sure what size works for your appliance. Simply measure the width and height and pick the size that works. We only have 3 sizes available and this makes things simple.
Can steel film be used on ovens and stove tops?
Stainless steel film can be used on ovens, but not stove tops. The film is heat resistant (from 14°F to 122°F)
Is the stainless steel film magnetic?
Steel film is not magnetic. However, when used on a metal appliance, magnets will still stick to the appliance.
Which direction does the "grain" in the film run?
"Grain" in steel films runs vertically up and down the length of the roll.
Will the film stick to a textured refrigerator?
Yes, the film will stick to a slightly textured refrigerator. Generally the texture does not show through, but we recommend
purchasing a sample of the product to test it first and make sure it sticks ok, and the look is acceptable to you.
Will the film scratch easily?
The steel film is scratch resistant, but not scratch proof.

If applied to a counter, can the film be cut on? Can I place a hot pan on it?
Take care of your film the same as you would a laminate counter top. You would not cut on a laminate counter top or place a hot pan directly on it, the same applies to the steel. Use hot pads and a cutting board.
Will water hurt the film?
There is a protective coating on the surface of the film to protect it from water. However, we recommend cleaning up water from the surface as soon as possible.
How do I care for the film?
The film can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Mild soap can be used if needed. Windex can also be used.
